Nintendo’s Wii - A New Direction
Nintendo’s Wii, is all about the simplicity of the console. It’s sleek and clean design is absolutely beautiful and soothing to the eye. The Nintendo Wii is made for the whole family, if you visit the site you can check out videos of newbies figuring out the system in about 5 seconds. This is the image Nintendo is conveying to it’s audience, basically breaking off from the hard-core gaming competitor platforms which Microsoft and Sony are currently leading and into calmer waters by carving out their own new niche in the market.

Everything about Nintendo’s Wii says, “easy-to-use” on it (not literally though). The remote, the system, the way you interact with the games and the games themselves all convey this message. I for one think it’s much needed in the gaming industry and will admit that I would get a Nintendo Wii, even though I’m also waiting to get my hands on the PS3. The Nintendo Wii is a cleaner and friendlier way of looking at games.

The Wii console will be hitting stores Nov. 19 2006, just in time for the holidays.
