According to several online sources, there’s an interesting rumor going around that Microsoft wants to acquire Facebook, and has offered up to $6 Billion to make it happen, but Facebook hasn’t nudged. Although this rumor has not yet been confirmed, it may hold some truth to it. CEO Steve Ballmer has countless times been left behind when concerning the online “acquisition game”, and may want to redeem himself by acquiring new territory for Microsoft. With every major internet player swiping up hot popular websites like Youtube, Myspace, and other great sites, he may really be going after Facebook, one of major and most popular social networking sites currently second to Myspace.
