Too Lazy to leave a Comment?

Paid CommentsIf you’re looking to gain recognition from other bloggers in the blogosphere, or you’re just plain out lazy and would rather pay someone to leave a comment for you, then BuyBlogComments is just the place for you. BuyBlogComments does just that, you buy a bulk number of comments and then they go ahead and post quality comments for you. You can choose from three bulk packages, 100 Blog Comments for $19.99, 500 Blog Comments for $98.99, or 1000 Blog Comments for $198.99.

Now this may sound extremely tempting for some bloggers out there, mainly due to link building and site ranking purposes, but let me remind you that this is what is referred to as a “BlackHat” strategy, meaning it’s extremely frowned upon by everyone in the web industry, especially by search engines. So if you do jump at this new service, make sure you’re prepared to take on the negative consequences if your found out. Your site may be blacklisted from all search engines, including Yahoo!, MSN, and Google, completely ruining your reputation online.

Although it is considered a form of “BlackHat”, they do state that they don’t spam blogs, rather, provide quality and authentic comments to relative blog posts which you would have more than likely commented on yourself. Also, they go on to state that the comments they leave will look completely legit and will not be able to be told apart from the rest of the blog comments, making it safe for the blogger to use the service. Well, like every other online service, always weigh your options and make sure you’re making the right decision before committing.

  1. ^5 Brotha!
Without intention of giving more attention to the obvious and accepted online practice, please help me understand more about why it is happening. Other than it being a money making service, what is its significance? It seems like yet another “selling one’s soul to the devil” type of penny ante whorish behavior.
It doesn’t seem worth it to me, then again, I’m not at that financial level of greed, apparently.

    Sign me,
Not the brightest lamp burning on the block.

  2. I prefer to leave my own comments. I’m not for or against the blog comments service. It is an economics thing. Why pay a middle man when I could hire my own VA to do whatever I want. At any rate I enjoy reading blogs and books, so leaving comments is only natural for me.

  3. Why would anyone want to pay someone to make comments on blogs? Have people really become so lazy? May as well just pay someone to write the posts too.

    And to read them…

  4. I don’t believe in paying making comments either, but everything seems to become more and more automated. Where do you draw the line ethically?

  5. It is so natural to leave a comment at a blog just to have your say on the post, or on other’s comments. It is not good that people have made it a business. Whether or not they spam or write only good appropriate legitimate comments, the purpose behind it is different. On the other hand, what I don’t understand is, if I post lot of comments in various forums/blogs just because I read a lot of them, why would the web industry or search engines take it as a “BlackHat” strategy? Does this mean I have to restrict myself from posting comments even if I want to? Just live with the fear factor of getting blacklisted? I don’t think this is fair !!!
