TokyoPlastic, Producing Visually Stimulating Designs

TokyoPlastic

TokyoPlastic is an amazing design studio well known for their stylish animations, but above all they are recognized in the industry for having a unique and impressive angle in character design. I first found out about them way back when they were just starting off and had the Drum Machine animation (one of their best and first animation clips) as a teaser for the upcoming site.

Since then the talented duo that make up Tokyoplastic, Sam Lanyon Jones and Drew Cope, have been responsible for bringing us a stunning range of stylized Japanese inspired toys, which are exclusively sold on MyPlasitcHeart. The stylish figurines have been incredibly successful, selling out shortly after release, but that’s not all they’ve done. The TokyoPlastic team have also worked on several marketing campaigns, creating eye-catching animations for well known companies such as MTV, Toyota, and Motorola among many others which you can check out on their site.

Although their site is rather confusing (a navigation nightmare at best), the animations showcased on there are well worth it. On the main page they have a couple of links to their most recent work, but once inside you can check out a list of tasty animations on display for your viewing pleasure. My favorite ones are the “Drum Machine” and the “Little Fella”, both are short but very entertaining, so make sure you check those out when you’re over there.

The TokyoPlastic team have come a long way since they first launched their site and I expect that there will be more in store for us as they continue to grow, so make sure to keep a close eye out for more great stuff from the talented duo over at TokyoPlastic.
