ThumbStrips, A Firefox Add-on

ThumbStrip Add-on

ThumbStrips, the new and quite hot Firefox browser Add-on is an extension that dynamically creates a filmstrip of thumbnails by capturing snapshots of each page you visit. It’s a definite crowd pleaser for those that are always struggling with the back button. The extensions was developed by Intuit’s Innovation Lab, an Intuit R&D unit headed by former General Manager of Quicken Roy Rosin.

The ThumbStrip when installed is displayed at the bottom of the Firefox browser, making it easily accessible to browse though previously visited sites, but it can be simply turned off if it gets a little too annoying after a while. Some of the out-of-the-box features include, the ability to stop or resume recording of the pages you visit, handy filter options, searching capabilities, and an intuitive way of browsing through your thumbnails. Overall it’s a pretty noteworthy Firefox Add-on with nice functionality.
