MySpace’s New Layout UPGRADE
We all have known for quite a while now that the popular social network website that is MySpace, has been in dire need of a full-on revamp of the entire website layout. This has been something that has been on the minds and tongues of every web designer (the ones with good taste at least) since day one. Well, the famous “Tom”, the CEO and President of MySpace has just announced that they are finally on the task of upgrading the MySpace design layout. Which will definitely serve as a refreshing change from the usual eye-sore of MySpace’s current design, and in addition will increase traffic and overall attention towards the social network site — it’s a win-win situation for them.

Tom - “So we’ve been working on a new widescreen home page design here. Thinking of launching this in a few weeks, but I wanted to see what people thought about. You’ll be able to stay with the classic option if you have a smaller screen. Take a look and tell me what you think”
Well Tom, although it isn’t a total redesign, it’s still a positive step in the right direction for MySpace, and hopefully by catching on to the traffic spike that this change will create, MySpace will continue providing more upgrades (real ones) like this one from now on. I personally agree with the changes they will be providing their users and hope to see more of it in the upcoming weeks.

Hmmmm… better, but poo still tastes like poo. Does this address individual profiles and their table-laden bloat? Hope they offer some sort of transition plan to users if so, but on the other hand, it would be pretty cool if they flipped the switch and all the sudden the gaudy layout skins blinked out of existence.
A man can dream, can’t he? Note to MySpace… Steal ideas from Virb!

I still don’t like myspace, but because my friends use the Myspace IM, I am almost forced to use it. So I am using http://www.ebuddy.com/#myspace as a IM client for Myspace.
