Here’s a nifty little application that was just recently launched. It’s called Beam It Up Scotty, and it allows you to send photos, music, videos, or just about any kind of file you want to your cell phone from your PC or Mac. All it takes is three easy steps, select which file you want to upload, the compression of the file, and which cell phone number you want to send the file to. That’s it, nothing complicated here, everything is made simple. Once you have completed the steps, you will receive an SMS/text message with the download link to that file.

It’s a great way of getting new background images on your phone to swap out the old ones, get some new music, watch your videos on the go, and basically take all those important documents mobile. Best of all this great little application is currently free of charge! Like it says on their site, “It’s simple, it’s fast and - it’s free”.
